The Designer
Brit Frady-Williams has worked with crafts and textiles since her childhood, a pursuit that she feels her Cherokee heritage spurred forward. Starting with beadworking at the age of seven, Brit learned master sewing, draping and design, eventually leading her to New York City where she earned a degree in fashion design from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology.
Brit's work has been featured in several major magazines including Supermodels Unlimited, Bust magazine, Italian Marie Claire, the New York Times, Hue: the Alumni Magazine of FIT as well as other national and international press. Her work has also been filmed for music videos and international documentaries on sub-cultural fashion.
While Brit's number one passion is to design and create works of art through clothing design, you can also find her working behind the scenes at fashion shows and events. She has several years of experience in event planning and works freelance as an event coordinator with a specialization in fashion show production.
